The 15th Slope Engineering Technology Conference was held in Chengdu, Sichuan from June 15th to 17th, 2023. The conference was sponsored by the Engineering Survey Branch of Architectural Society of China, the Survey Committee of China Hydraulic Engineering Society, Sichuan Society for Rock Mechanics & Engineering and Tibet Society for Hydropower Engineering. We OST is the organizer of the conference.

The conference took the academic exchanges on seven topics such as the development status and future of slope engineering technology, slope engineering survey and prevention measures, and key technology for stability of slopes, aiming to promote the development of slope engineering theory and application technology in the direction of green, safety and digitization.

During the conference,OST exhibited the flexible protection technology, scientific research results and engineering application cases and were recognized by the experts. In the afternoon of June 15, Mr. Yue Chao, the general manager of OST, made a presentation on “The Evaluation of the Suitability of Flexible Protection Project". Mr Yue introduced the status of the rockfall prevention technology, the application of flexible protection technology in railway, highway and hydropower and geohazards prevention, analyzed the current unsuitability of flexible protection project and proposed the solutions to the problem, which was unanimously recognized by the experts.

On June 17th, nearly 100 experts and scholars visited OST manufacturing site to observe the rockfall impact test. The director Lv Hanchuan and deputy general manager Yang Xilin expressed their warm welcome to the experts and invited them to visit OST’s flexible protection technology product. Mr. Lv introduced the development of OST, the process of scientific research and the scientific research achievements, and started a lively discussion on "domestic flexible protection technology and engineering applications" , which showed the professionalism of OST in flexible protection technology. Afterwards, the visitors observed the full-scale rockfall impact test . The test was Ｅxecuted according to the 1500kJ rockfall barrier and the test was completely successful , which was highly recognized by the experts.

The Conference is an opportunity for OST to have a deeper communication with professional associations, research institutes and the industry. It plays a positive role in enhancing OST's influence and promoting the development. We always stick to our original intention, adhere to the concept of "innovation for development", continue to invest in the research and innovation of flexible protection technology, continuously improve the level of protection technology to protect people's lives and the security of the national property.
