In the middle of May, ‘Innovation China’ the C-suite Forum of High-level Landslip and Rockfall Protection in Complex and Dangerous Mountainous Areas was successfully held in Emeishan, Sichuan, China, sponsored by China Rock Mechanics and Engineering Society, China Disaster Prevention Association, Chengkun Railway Co.Ltd and ‘Innovation China’ Rock Mechanics and Major Engineering—Science and  Innovation Consortium of the National Key Laboratory. 143 people from 43 national industry attended the meeting.

OST was invited to participate in the forum as the member of National Engineering Research Center of Geohazards Prevention Technology in Land Transportation.

The forum was mainly to exchange the experience and achievements of survey, design, construction, operation and maintenance of High-level Landslip and Rockfall Protection in mountainous areas, explored new ideas, new methods and new technologies for evaluation and prevention of High-level Landslip and Rockfall Protection. It provided new solutions for reinforcement of High-level Landslip and Rockfall and provided important innovative practices to systematically solve it in complex and dangerous mountainous areas in the future.

Mr Lv, the director of OST, was invited to make a presentation on ‘Evaluation of the Suitability of  Flexible Protection Project’. Mr Lv introduced the status of the rockfall prevention technology to the experts and scholars, analyzed the current unsuitability of flexible protection project and the solutions to the problem.

The report of ‘Evaluation of the Suitability of  Flexible Protection Project’ is the concrete embodiment of OST's core-competitiveness, fully demonstrating OST's scientific research strength and technical innovation ability of High-level Landslip and Rockfall Protection , further enhancing the influence of the industry, and being recognized by the experts and scholars.
