From June 27 to 29, 2025, the 6th Southwest Symposium on Rock Mechanics and Engineering was held in Chengdu, Sichuan. The conference brought together experts, scholars, and industry professionals from leading universities, research institutions, and enterprises to discuss the future development of major infrastructure projects in the region, particularly in railway and hydropower, as well as advances in geotechnical safety technologies.

　　During the event, Mr. Lv Hanchuan, Chairman of OST, delivered a keynote presentation titled “Suitability Assessment of Slope Protection Net Engineering.” His report provided an in-depth analysis of the current state of slope protection net applications. Drawing from the latest industry standards—JT/T 1328-2020 Flexible Protection Net System of Slope and TB/T 3449-2016 Rockfall Impact Test Method and Evaluation of Railway Slope Flexible Passive Protection Product—along with more than two decades of OST’s engineering practice, Mr. Lv proposed a comprehensive scientific assessment system and innovative solutions.
