Dujiangyan-Wenchuan flexible steel-structured shed tunnel was built in the year of 2012, covering an area of 1924 square meters. The major force component is steel arch frame made of H typed steel. Steel arches are connected by steel pipes in order to improve the overall structural stability. Two layers of steel wire mesh are installed on top and bottom of the steel archs in order to prevent rockfalls.
