In May, the rockfall remediation project of Shuihong Line constructed by OST suffered continuous heavy rain. On May 30th, the inspector of the railway section found that the rockfall collapsed on the right side of the mountain slope.  There are 8 smash pits in the path of the rockfall rolling down the slope, with the deepest depth about 1500px.  The rockfall continued to roll after colliding with large boulders on the slope surface and was eventually intercepted by the rockfall barrier constructed by OST.

According to the energy analysis of the rockfall movement, the intercepted rockfall is about 5.2 cubic meters and the weight is about 13 tons. The successful interception avoided the rockfall falling into the railway to ensure the safety of the traffic, which was highly appreciated by the railway section.
