April 10–12, 2025 – Chengdu, China
OST made a strong impression at the 7th National Summit on Slope Safety and Ecological Restoration, held in Chengdu. As a recognized leader in rock protection systems, OST took center stage among industry experts, academics, and engineering professionals.
On the opening day, Mr. Lv Hanchuan, Chairman of OST, delivered a keynote presentation titled “Adaptability Assessment of Rockfall Protection Systems.” The presentation was grounded in two key industry standards: JT/T 1328-2020 (Flexible protection net systems for slope) and TB/T 3449-2016 (Rockfall impact test method and evaluation of railway slope flexible passive protection product ). It focused on identifying the current mismatches between rockfall protection systems and the specific protection needs. The report provided an in-depth analysis of these challenges and offered targeted solutions in areas such as protection system design, material performance, and construction practices. These recommendations aim to support the ongoing development of a more robust and standardized framework for the industry while driving forward technological innovation in slope protection.
One of the key highlights of the summit was the visit of He Manchao, the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Academician He expressed strong affirmation of OST’s technical achievements and its contributions to advancing safety standards in complex slope protection. His recognition served as a powerful endorsement of OST’s continued focus on research-driven innovation and engineering excellence.
