From October 21^st to 24^th, the 16th Slope Engineering Technology Convention was successfully held in Beijing. OST, as a co-organizer, attended the convention and engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions with top experts, scholars, and industry leaders, focusing on theories and practical development in slope engineering technology.

On the opening day, Mr. Yue Chao, the general manager of OST, delivered a presentation titled "Innovation and Application of Falling Rock Protection Technology for High and Steep Slope." Mr. Yue outlined the advanced applications of OST's guiding protection systems, analyzing their distinctive characteristics and advantages in rock fall protection. He also showcased some key projects, including the high energy level barrier on the Lixiang Line, jointly developed with China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group and Southwest Jiaotong University, and the high-performance steel structure protective shed-tunnel which won a gold medal at the 48^th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva 2023.

On October 24, nearly 100 experts and scholars participated in a field visit to OST's rock fall protection project at the Anjiazhuang Bridge along the G109 Highway in Mentougou, an area hit by heavy rain and flooding in July 2023. Mr Lv, the Chairman of OST, provided a detailed overview of the project's terrain, safety hazards, and the protective measures implemented.
