The working meeting of the establishment of drafting group Technical Specification for Construction of Guided Flexible Protective Nets jointly edited by OSTS, was successfully held on 24th, April in Chengdu Shang Yan Hotel, with 31 participants from all over the country in attendance. Important speeches were made by the experts at the meeting, including Ma Dezhi, the secretary-general of structural welding committee of China Construction Standardization Association, Pei Xiangjun, the vice-president of civil and environmental engineering at Chengdu University of Technology, Fu yanqing, the director of MCC Construction Research Institute co., LTD and Lv Hanchuan , the president of Sichuan OST Slope Protection Engineering Co.. Professor Yu Zhixiang, associate professor Zu Hu, from the college of civil engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University, attended the conference as the representative of the chief editor.
The establishment of the compilation group and the working meeting was presided over by director Fu Yanqing, the director of MCC Construction Research Institute co., LTD., mainly promoting the prevention and control of landslide, collapse, rockfall and other slope geological disasters and the combination of One Belt And One Road strategy to establish the technical standard system with international standard, to realize the matching of product output and technical output, to discuss the working outline of the compilation of regulations according to the background purpose and significance and to determine the compilation work schedule and division of labor.
At the beginning of the meeting, director Fu Yanqing introduced the leaders and experts attending the meeting, and read out the approval documents and the list of compiled group members. Subsequently, secretary general Ma Dezhi made a speech, saying that the guided flexible protection technology is the latest development of traditional disaster protection technology. However, there is no relevant standard for this technology in China, and the Technical Specification of Guided Flexible Protective Net Structure will be included in the development plan of China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization as a milestone in this field.
Zhao Shichun, a professor at Southwest Jiaotong University, said that since 2009, a large number of experimental basic theory and technology application research on the flexible protective net structure. It has been funded by a number of national and local special funds, including two national key laboratories of geological disaster protection and geological environment protection open funds funded by the national natural fund. Rockfall hazard of medium and high energy levels is one of the common slope hazards, which poses a serious threat to traffic safety. For rockfall disaster, the prevention method which has great advantages in functionality and economy at the present stage should be flexible protective net system. The formulation of this standard will be helpful for the promotion and application of this kind of products.
Lv Hanchuan , the president of Sichuan OST Slope Protection Engineering Co., speaking as a representative of the participating units, pointed out that the flexible protection industry is chaotic, and technical regulations are what ensure that the industry can develop in strict accordance with quality standards. Guided flexible protective net system has both the advantages of active and passive protective net and can overcome the disadvantages of both. At present, OSTS has carried out a large number of basic data research, . President Lv said that he would further increase investment in scientific and technological research and development, make more technical achievements, provide a large number of reliable basic data, play an important role, fully support the promotion of the specification work, and contribute to the improvement of China's protection industry technology level and technical standards.
