The 10^th National Slope Engineering Technical Conference was held in Chengdu from April 19^th-22^nd, 2018. It was jointly-organized by Investigation Branch of Architectural Society of China, State Key Laboratory of Geohazard Prevention and Geological Environment Protection, State Key Laboratory of Environmental Protection for Water and Soil Pollution Control and Repair and Southwest Jiaotong University, co-organized by China Southwest Geotechnical Investigation & Design Institute and Sichuan Provincial Transport Department Highway Planning Survey, Design and Research Institute.

OST staff Dr. Han made a special report on “research and application of new flexible protection system” and gave a brief introduction on rockfall impact test. 

In the afternoon of April 21^st, the participants visited OST and witnessed the rockfall impact test for 2000KJ passive net. This test was based on TB/T3449-2016 and resulted in success.

This conference aimed to promote communications of technics and developing trend in the field of slope protection area. At the same time, it also enhanced OST’s research and application ability in the slope protection system.
