On April 15th, 2017, the Sixth Summit of Safety Precaution and Treatment for Dams and Dikes and Slope Protection was held in Chengdu. This summit was led by China Research Center of Water Resource, aiming to strengthen safety management of dams and dikes, improve the level of dike safety precaution and slope protection and also to promote and utilize latest foreign technology, material and equipment.

The attendees were from Ministry of Water Resource, Ministry of Railways, dams, hydropower stations, surveying and designing institutes, planning and design institutes, watershed institutes and involved producers. The participants included Zhu Jun and Liu Wei, deputy directors of China Research Center of Water Resource, Liu Yajun, president of International Water Ecological Safety Chinese Committee, Liang Jun, chief engineer of Sichuan Water Resource Department, Lu Yaoru, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhang Kaiyong, director of Dujiangyan Administration Bureau, Hu Shaowei, director of Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, Wang Gongxian, professor of Northwest Research Institute of C.R.E.C.

OST, as the leading role in China’s slope protection industry, took part in this summit. Chairman Lv Hanchuan delivered a speech entitled “Development for standardization of China’s flexible protection industry is imperative”.

OST is  taking responsibilities to promote development of slope protection industry. OST was involved in preparing several slope protection industry standards, and has built China’s first rockfall impact test platform which is a reference in standardization.

In the afternoon on April 15th, experts and peers from flexible protection field visited OST and witnessed the rockfall impact test.

The experts and peers were deeply impressed by OST’s appearance in this summit and considered OST is the producer who is in technologies, excellent in quality, and strict in standard.
