On November 17, 2016 the new 3500KJ passive protection system researched and developed by our company was proved to be successful in the impact test. The success of the test shows OST has achieved international level in the theory and design of flexible protection system.

 A10-ton test block was lifted to a height of 35m by the crane, then released. With the falling speed of 25m/s, the structure system vibrated violently but rested soon and caught the test block successfully, which signified the first success of 3500KJ passive protection system impact test in our country. OST will carry out 5000KJ passive protection system interception test in order to realize the technological goal of advanced international standards.
